Where the inkwell watch is a finalist in the 2026 Jewellery Category.
The current prototype version validates the electronics, firmware, and power system. Powered by a USB-C chargeable 400 mAh battery, it already reaches close to a week of use in real‑world testing.
The next iteration will move to a titanium housing, and smaller electronics footprint bringing the watch into its final form.

About Me
Hi, I’m Selby. I’m an engineer and maker from lutruwita/Tasmania, and I’ve been building Inkwell from the ground up. I designed the electronics, the firmware, and went through many curved e‑ink experiments. I also undertook all the hands‑on prototyping that goes with designing and building a unique wellness watch like this.
I like working slowly and intentionally, mixing hardware with craft to make technology that feels calm rather than demanding attention. Inkwell is my attempt to build a watch that reflects that approach: simple, quiet, and made with care.
